Zoomarine: the marine park near Rome, tickets and how to get there
Zoomarine is a marine and amusement park at Torvaianica, in the municipality of Pomezia, about 30 km south of central Rome. It combines a dolphinarium (it bills itself as the park with the most dolphins in Italy), sea lions, lemurs, flamingos and birds of prey, a water park, rides and shows. It is aimed mainly at families. It is seasonal, with a main season from roughly March to September, and prices vary by date: neither is fixed, so check the calendar and the price on the official website before booking. Allow a full day, travel included.
Highlights

The dolphin pools
The dolphinarium is the heart of the park: open-air pools where you watch dolphin presentations, listed in the day's programme. Check the show times at the entrance and arrive early to get a good seat.

The rides and the water park
Besides the animals, Zoomarine has thrill rides, including roller coasters, and a water park with pools, slides and a beach. Height restrictions vary from ride to ride: find out before coming with young children.
The animals
The park shows more than 400 animals of about 40 species: dolphins, sea lions, lemurs, flamingos, birds of prey and, more recently, capybaras. Part of the visit is devoted to education and environmental protection.
Jurassic Adventure and seasonal events
The park offers a dinosaur-themed trail and schedules events through the year, such as Family Halloween, from 10 October to 8 November 2026, with evenings extended until 10pm on 24 and 31 October.
Practical info
Tips
- Buy your ticket online: the price is generally better than at the ticket office and you skip the queue. The sources consulted give very different prices depending on the package (zoo-only entry, full entry, dolphin encounter): confirm the exact price on zoomarine.it. The park is expensive for a family and is best in good weather; if the sky looks threatening, postpone. Bring sunscreen, swimwear and a towel in summer. Prices and hours are not fixed: general information gathered in October 2026 from the park's website and travel sites, to be confirmed before your visit.
How to get there
Via dei Romagnoli, Torvaianica (Pomezia), about 30 km south of Rome. By car, take the Pontina (SS148) from the ring road (exit 26) to the Pomezia-Torvaianica exit, then follow the signs for the park. Without a car it is more complicated: Cotral buses link Rome (Laurentina metro) to Pomezia and Torvaianica, with a stop near Piazza Italia, and a seasonal shuttle has been offered from Termini station. Timetables change: check them before leaving, and keep a margin for the return.
