What the district offers

  • Position: the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori and the Tiber are within 10 minutes on foot.
  • Transport: no metro; buses on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Largo Argentina, a taxi for luggage.
  • Atmosphere: very lively in the evening on the squares, calm in the small side streets.

Which category to choose

  • Charm and luxury: several historic hotels look onto the Pantheon or onto lanes (for example the Albergo del Senato, facing Piazza della Rotonda, or the Hotel Raphael, near Navona). Ask for the exact view of the room.
  • Mid-range: small family hotels in the streets behind Piazza Navona; rooms are modest, with a great location.
  • Budget: little choice; guesthouses and apartments in the district are expensive. Monti or Termini offer more choice for less.
