Wax Museum Rome (Museo delle Cere): tickets, opening hours and reviews
The Wax Museum of Rome (Museo delle Cere) is on Piazza dei Santi Apostoli, behind Piazza Venezia, about ten minutes on foot from the Pantheon: wax figures of famous and historical people, in a museum open since 1958. The entry ticket alone is sold from 10 € on Tiqets (October 2026), rated 3.9/5 from 98 reviews, with free cancellation until 23:59 the day before; the museum is listed as open daily from 9:00 to 21:00. The ticket also includes a look at the workshop where the figures are made.
Highlights

The facade on Piazza dei Santi Apostoli
The museum occupies the ground floor of a palace, at numbers 67 and 68, with its burgundy signs; the windows already show a few figures (a pope, a Hollywood scene). The neighbouring basilica of Santi Apostoli is worth a look inside.
The figures
Wax statues of personalities from cinema, politics, religion and Italian history; you take photos next to them, as in other wax museums. Reviews are mixed (3.9/5): it is an entertainment visit, not a major museum.
The workshop
The visit includes a glimpse of the laboratory where the figures are made, which is the most original thing about the place.
Hours and prices
Daily 9:00-21:00 according to Tiqets, checked on 26 October 2026; confirm on the museum's official site. Entry ticket from 10 € (Tiqets). Combined tickets with the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, Castel Sant'Angelo or the Bioparco exist at Tiqets, with a small discount (about 5%).

Tips
- It is a short visit, useful in rain or with children: see Rome on a rainy day and Rome with children. Do not expect a wax museum as big as those in London or Paris: the space is modest. It combines with Capitoline Square and the Vittoriano, both a few minutes away.
How to get there
Piazza dei Santi Apostoli 67-68, 00187 Rome, just behind Piazza Venezia. About 10 minutes on foot from the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain; many buses serve Piazza Venezia.
