Roma Pride is Rome's pride march, a big festive and political parade through the city centre, usually on a Saturday in June. Organised by the Roma Pride association, it gathers tens of thousands of people with floats, music and associations, and carries on with parties in Monti, around the Colosseum and in Ostiense. Rome also hosted WorldPride in 2000 and EuroPride in 2011. The date, starting point and route are announced each year: they are not given here as final. Information checked in October 2026.
Highlights

The parade
The procession traditionally sets off from a large square in the centre (Piazza della Repubblica, near Termini station, has been the usual start in recent years) and crosses the city to a gathering place. Rainbow and trans flags, music floats and association delegations march in a festive atmosphere; the streets on the route are closed to traffic during the afternoon.
The final rally
At the end of the route, a stage hosts speeches, artists and DJs; the evening mood is more festive than political. Bring water and a hat: in mid-June it can be very hot.

Around Pride
In the weeks beforehand, debates, exhibitions and screenings are programmed in the city; check the official Roma Pride programme.

Book your hotel early, as Pride weekend is busy. Keep your belongings in front of you in the crowd; see scams to avoid. If the date of the next edition is not yet published, count on June.
How to get there
The start is usually in the centre, near Termini station (metro lines A and B, Termini or Repubblica station). Join the procession on foot; the streets on the route are closed to cars and buses are diverted.
